Double Bay / Edgecliff

Originally called “Keltie Bay” after the master of the First Fleet vessel HMS “Sirius”, the suburbs current name evolved because of the pair of bays on its northern harbour foreshore. Governor Macquarie originally bought 20 acres for development as a Botanic Garden, but the garden never eventuated.  The 1920’s and 30’s were the growth years for Double Bay with the bulk of its stylish apartments and elegant bungalows being built.

Property Location:



The location opposite Rushcutters Bay Park and the very close train station at Edgecliff made the location perfect for me. In the corner apartment the sunset with a view of the city every evening is a play of colors. The apartment is modern, very bright and well equipped. The ladies from the agency are extremely helpful and always try to find a solution. All about a successful stay. I'll be back in any case.
