"My first time in an Airbnb and was a wee bit worried but it was amazing and couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. Saw some whales from balcony which was really special. Everything was in walking distance although some people may find the stairs a struggle with cases but we were fine. Flat was very comfortable with all necessary amenities it was like a home from home. Tracy’s team responded quickly if anything was needed and were very helpful. Coogee Beach

Coogee Beach is a seaside suburb just 7 kilometres south-east of the city's centre. It is mostly a residential suburb with a bustling Coogee Bay Road which houses a large assortment of restaurants, cafes and ice-creameries. Coogee is a popular beach with swimmers and families wanting to enjoy the golden sands, surf breaks, large parks and playgrounds ideal for picnicking, and of course the famed Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walkway. Coogee has many ocean front rock pools, including Giles Baths at the northern end of the beach and a man-made rock pool at the southern end of the beach which is near the Coogee Surf Life Saving Club, one of the oldest surf life saving clubs in the world founded in 1907. If you walk a couple of minutes south of the beach you'll find two of Sydney's most spectacular ocean pools – McIvers Baths (women and children only) and Wylie's Baths.

The beach is sheltered by a rocky island called Wedding Cake Island which makes it an ideal swimming beach for families and a calmer option than some of the other eastern suburbs beaches like nearby Maroubra Beach.
